Coaching
- Work one-on-one with the student with behavioral challenges.
- Implement the goals and objectives as described in the IEP.
- Implement the setting event, antecedent cue, consequence, teaching, and response routine strategies as outlined in the positive behavior support plan.
- Implement and manage the student’s positive behavior support systems.
- Facilitate positive interactions between the student with challenging behavior and his/her typically developing peers.
- Collect and graph data related to IEP goals and objectives.
- Make data-based decisions.
- Target student’s independence and self-determination.
- Collaborate with the Special Education teacher, other classroom aides, and school administrators.
