Blueprints seeks analytical, confident, dedicated, and reliable individuals to work part-time. Blueprints provides services throughout the Puget Sound in clients' homes, schools, and communities. Days and times of service delivery vary for each client; however, coaches typically work with clients in the afternoons.

Blueprints helps individuals and families in stress gain an improved ability to cope and control their environments by providing individualized and data-based behavior analytic consultative services that are supported by years of research in the areas of behavior analysis, family psychology, and counseling. We emphasize a socially valid, outcome-based, systematic, constructional, collaborative approach to individual and family systems design and intervention. Blueprints promotes the establishment of alternative repertoires and environments, which provide clients more opportunities to contact positive reinforcement and live happier, healthier, and more productive lives.
The Coach’s duties:
- Implement clients’ skill building & positive behavior support programs developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®)
- Measure and evaluate the clients’ performance in relation to their objectives
- Provide feedback to clients regarding their progress towards their objectives
- Develop, organize, and manage all materials necessary for program implementation
- Target clients’ independence & self-determination
- Follow Blueprints internal communication procedures
Salary:
The position pays up to $25.00 per hour. In addition to hourly pay, applicants hired for the position have the opportunity to earn an extra 20% of that salary by achieving performance-based pay objectives to be developed between each applicant and the Executive Director prior to the start of the contract.
The Coach's minimum qualifications include:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in behavior analysis, counseling or a related field such as Psychology.
- Two years of relevant experience implementing comprehensive behavioral interventions for children with developmental disabilities and challenging behavior.
- Documented experience providing coaching to parents in antecedent strategies, consequence delivery, shaping, and behavior management.
- Documented training and experience implementing a positive behavior support plan with persons with significant behavioral challenges.
- Documented training and experience teaching communication, cognitive, personal care, leisure, self-advocacy, self-management, & social skills using effective behavioral intervention including component skills, naturalistic, activity-based, &/or community-based instruction.
- Documented training and experience in data collection and data-based decision making within behavioral, educational, or social skills programming.
- Documented experience and/or training in directing meetings and public speaking.
The Coach's preferred qualifications include:
- At least a Master’s degree in behavior analysis or a related field (such as Psychology or Education) with a strong emphasis in behavior analysis.
- Current certification, or qualifies for current certification, as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) by The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc.
- Certified or licensed with the State of Washington Department of Health in accordance with the requirements of chapter 18.19 RCW.
- (Agency Affiliated Counselor, Certified Adviser, Certified Counselor, Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee, Marriage & Family Therapist - Associate, Mental Health Counselor - Associate, Social Worker Associate Advanced (SWAA) ,Social Worker Associate Independent Clinical (SWAIC), Chemical, Dependency Professional, Marriage & Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor, Registered Counselor, Psychologist, Sex Offender Treatment Provider, Social Worker)
- 800 hours of relevant course work and/or training in principles of child development, learning theory, positive behavior support techniques, dual diagnosis, and/or behavior analysis (may be included as part of a degree program).
- Documented training and experience conducting descriptive assessments &/or functional behavior assessments.
- Documented experience leading social group instruction.
- Documented experience in coaching peers or siblings of persons with behavioral disorders or developmental disabilities.
- Documented experience supervising clinicians implementing educational, behavioral, &/or social skills programming
- Documented experience and/or training in scientifically-based instructional arrangements and design.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is also required to walk up and down stairs, carry items, transport children in their own automobile, and travel to and from a variety of community settings.
